However, most players want a cue that is unique and not just another cue off the assembly line. A Mark Smith Custom Cue is worked by hand for many hours to your specifications. It will not be exactly like a cue owned by anyone else. The hard maple and exotic hardwoods used in a Mark Smith Custom Cue are carefully selected for both appearance and structural properties. The unfinished butts and shafts are slowly turned over several months to insure proper drying and prevent warping. This is something that you may not get if you purchase a production cue. Mark Smith Custom Cues are truly affordable. You would expect to pay a premium to have your own one of a kind custom cue, but I'm committed to offering my cues at prices competitive with nicer factory made cues. I am like most of you. I can't afford to pay $1000 plus for a custom cue. Recently a cue collector examined one of my cues and guessed the price at $1500. He couldn't believe that it was sold to another collector for $600. The buyer was so blown away to own a custom cue for such a reasonable price that he immediately commissioned me to make one for his son. |
